Course Description:
This course studies the techniques, methods, and considerations for patrol officers when investigating person crimes (specifically: domestic violence, child abuse, and abuse of the elderly or disabled). Procedures applied for missing, endangered, lost, or runaway persons as well as search techniques are also discussed. Objectives include those established by the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.
