HIM 2874 - Medical Coding Certification Exam Review 1 hour Lecture, 1 hour Lab, 1 credit Lower-Division College Credit Prerequisite(s): HIM 2292 AA Elective: No This course reviews information and skills covered in the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam. This includes concepts from the International Classification of Disease, 10th Revision: Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM); International Classification of Disease, 10th Revision: Procedure Coding System (ICD-10-PCS); Coding Guidelines; and the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) System that are required for accurate and optimal inpatient, outpatient, and physician’s office coding. The student participates in a CPC practice exam as part of the course.
