This course provides the pre-professional teacher with a study of a variety of backgrounds and cultures that may be found in a typical classroom. The course examines a broad view of social aspects of diversity and encourages broader view of the social aspects of diversity and biases to reevaluate personal beliefs and prejudices that may adversely affect the learning process. The course covers one or more Florida Educator Accomplished Practices (FEAPs) and Uniform Core Curricula (UCC’s).
