PHT 2931 - Trends in Physical Therapy 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit Prerequisite(s): PHT 1801L Corequisite(s): PHT 2221C AA Elective: No This course provides an in-depth study of the structure and ethos of the physical therapy profession, and includes an exploration of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and its participation in current legislative issues. The student is exposed to reimbursement issues, interdisciplinary treatment approaches, biomedical ethics, and selected topics that influence patient interaction. Projects focus on the development of strong oral and written communication skills for patient education and interaction.
