EEC 4936 - Senior Seminar in Early Childhood Education

Prerequisite(s): Completion of all other courses required for the BS in Elementary Education Program with a minimum grade of C.

Verification of a passing score on both the Professional Education and Subject Area Exam portions of the Florida Teacher Certification Exam.
Corequisite(s): EEC 4940 and RED 4940

The Senior Seminar is a companion course to EEC 4940 Internship in Early Childhood Education and RED 4940 Final Reading Internship. It provides the teacher candidate with an opportunity to examine and explore issues related to the full-time internship in a kindergarten to third grade classroom. The seminar-style sessions promote collegial discussion of professional practices while providing a platform for support and encouragement during the transition from teacher candidate to educator.
