The Supply Chain Management Program prepares the graduate with cross-functional skills necessary for the integration of business processes. The curriculum provides a study of planning and acquisition, as well as the flow and distribution of goods and services. Program courses focus on related business and accounting practices such as standard policies and operating procedures, negotiation techniques, planning, organization, logistics concepts, purchasing, and inventory control theory. Emphasis is placed on the development of business and managerial skills that are necessary for the efficient and effective performance of all operations within a company’s supply chain.

Certain courses in this program require placement at the college level or satisfaction of developmental education requirements in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs):
Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate is able to:
PLO 1: Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental principles of purchasing/contracting and supply planning related to inventory control and management.
PLO 2: Demonstrate an understanding of the role of transportation, distribution, and warehouse management in the functioning of the supply chain.
PLO 3: Demonstrate an understanding of purchasing/contracting, importance of effective negotiation skills, and how accounting impacts supply chain management decisions.
PLO 4: Demonstrate an understanding of transportation and distribution and how international market impact distribution activities.
PLO 5: Demonstrate an understanding of production and product quality management.
PLO 6: Demonstrate an understanding of business law, ethics, and legal issues and the relationship to the function of the supply chain.
PLO 7: Demonstrate the ways that information technology applications can increase the efficiency and accuracy of the supply chain.
