Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Motors for Manufacturing Certificate

A college-credit certificate consists of a program of instruction of less than sixty college-level credits that are part of an Associate in Science or Associate in Applied Science degree program that prepares the participant for entry-level employment (Florida Administrative Code Rule 6A-14.030).

This program provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards, relevant technical knowledge, and necessary skills that prepare individuals for further education and careers in the manufacturing career cluster. It emphasizes technical skill proficiency and includes competency-based learning that contributes to academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning, problem-solving skills, general employability, technical adaptability, and occupation-specific skillsets across all aspects of the manufacturing career cluster.

The content includes, but is not limited to, maintenance techniques, technical communication, maintenance and operation of various industrial components, quality control and testing, material-handling protocols, and proper usage of tools and instrumentation.


Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs):
Upon successful completion of the program, the student is able to:
PLO 1: Demonstrate fluency regarding industrial processes and material properties.
PLO 2: Apply concepts related to electricity and electronics.
PLO 3: Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical components and systems.
