Program: AS-26130

The purpose of the Aerospace Administration Program is to prepare those seeking employment in the aviation, airline, and airport fields with the skills and experiences necessary to be successful. A graduate of this program may seek employment in a federal, state, or local government aviation institution; find an entry-level airline customer service, operations, or air cargo job; or seek a low- to mid-level management position. The graduate may also apply for a position supporting aviation entities, such as a supplier or service provider for airlines and government aviation agencies. 

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs):
Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate is able to:
PLO 1: Appropriately apply basic aviation terminology and history.
PLO 2: Describe and assess efficient and prudent aviation operations, practices, limitations, and procedures.
PLO 3: Explain pertinent requirements of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Title 14, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
PLO 4: Incorporate airline management practices, including leadership and communications, as well as directing, planning and controlling operations.
PLO 5: Explain and evaluate aviation security issues and responses.
PLO 6: Demonstrate aviation and airline marketing, customer service and sales techniques, distribution skills, and reservation and ticketing applications and abilities.
PLO 7: Demonstrate fluency regarding aviation meteorology and basic aerodynamics concepts.
PLO 8: Apply strategies based on aviation safety and human factors, including accident prevention.
PLO 9: Demonstrate fluency regarding air traffic control procedures and policies.
PLO 10: Incorporate effective air cargo operations and procedures.
