Readmission to Polk State College

A student maintains an active application status provided that a break in enrollment does not exceed one Academic Year (i.e., three terms). A student returning after an absence of one or more Academic Years, or a student who applied to Polk State but did not attend within one or more Academic Years, must:

  • Complete an Application for Readmission online.
     
  • Submit transcripts from all colleges or universities attended since last attending or applying to Polk State College.
     
  • Retake a college placement test if it has been more than two years.

[Note: This requirement is for a student who has not completed a college-level English and/or a college-level mathematics course, does not have an overall grade point average of 2.0, or who is not exempt from Developmental Education per the Florida Statutes.]

A currently attending student who is changing from non-degree-seeking to degree-seeking status must meet the requirements of the Catalog for the year in which he or she declares degree-seeking status.
