This course focuses on common pathophysiology that affects homeostasis and results in unmet biological needs. Students study complex interventions to assist patients to promote, maintain, or restore homeostasis. The professional roles of the nurse as both provider of care and beginning manager of care are also emphasized. The clinical focus is on the application of increasingly complex skills and interventions within these roles to assist the adult patient in regaining optimal health. This course will be offered for the last time in Fall Term 2009.
