OTH 1014C - Functional Anatomy and Kinesiology I and Lab I 3 hours Lecture, 3 hours Lab, 4 credit(s) Lower-Division College Credit Prerequisite(s): BSC 2086C This lecture/laboratory course introduces the basic principles of biomechanics and kinesiology as they pertain to human movement. Students study the osteology of the human body and identify anatomical landmarks through palpation skills. Students study myology and neurology of the abdomen, back, pelvic girdle, and lower extremities; the upper extremity, head, and neck are also introduced. This course includes instruction in manual muscle testing, basic therapeutic exercise, and gait evaluation.
