ART 1511C - Landscape Painting 2 hours Lecture, 2 hours Lab, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit Prerequisites: ART 1300C or Permission of Instructor AA Elective: Yes In this course, students use the Alla Prima technique to study the traditional method of landscape painting. This outdoor painting course focuses on the color ramifications inherent in the careful observation of light and form. Emphasis is placed on color, rapid decision making, and the constant adjustment that outdoor painting demands. Participants are encouraged to do two paintings per class, with an emphasis on individual instruction.
