BSC 1084C - Basic Anatomy and Physiology 3 hours Lecture, 4 hours Lab, 5 credits Lower-Division College Credit Prerequisites: Placement at the college level in reading and writing, or completion of required developmental courses in reading and writing; placement at MAT 0024 in mathematics or completion of MAT 0012 AA Elective: Yes This course provides a background in basic anatomy and physiology for students in allied health fields. The course provides a brief introduction to physiological chemistry and physics, a study of basic cell biology, and a survey of human anatomy and physiology through the study of each organ system. Selected topics of pathology are outlined as appropriate to the audience.
