Course Description:
This is a required course associated with the Correctional Crossover to Law Enforcement and the Law Enforcement Crossover to Corrections programs. Topics include safety, nomenclature, the loading and reloading of handguns, malfunction drills, grips, and target acquisition. Practical application of a handgun (during daylight and at night) is demonstrated. Objectives include those established by the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.
