MSL1001 - Introduction to the Army







1 hour Lecture, 1 credit

Lower-Division College Credit

Corequisite(s): Cadets contracted in the ROTC Program must also take the corresponding lab course, MSL 1001L Introduction to the Army Lab (one credit hour), in conjunction with this course.

Course Description:
This course emphasizes the development of life skills and personal attributes including cultural understanding, goal setting, time management, stress management, and comprehensive fitness as they relate to leadership, officership, and the Army profession. The focus is on developing basic comprehension of Army leadership dimensions, attributes, and core-leader competencies while gaining an overview of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corp (ROTC) Program, its purpose in the Army, and its advantages for the student.
