The Computer Systems and Business Analysis Program emphasizes business intelligence tools and information mining to prepare graduates to work as liaisons among company stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate changes to business processes, policies, and information systems.
Through this program of study, students analyze business issues and data challenges, and then apply decision-support and business-intelligence solutions for improving work processes for better business decision making. Students gain skills in the areas of business, application programming, database and system design, and web-based technologies. The program allows students to analyze problems using logic and analysis tools, code applications into computer language, and build and maintain business-intelligence information systems.
Students who score below the required levels on state-mandated placement tests in writing, reading, and mathematics must enroll in and complete the appropriate developmental courses before they enroll in some required program courses.
