The Business Operational Management Program is articulated with the Polk County School Board (PCSB) career centers: Ridge Career Center and Traviss Career Center. It provides the opportunity for students who have completed specific technical programs to pursue college-level coursework that is appropriate for supervisory and management roles, as well as for upward mobility in their chosen fields. Students in this program MUST complete a program of 900-clock hours or more at a Polk County School Board Career Center (Ridge/Traviss). Eligible students are awarded 15 credits toward the technical skills portion of the degree. To be awarded these credits, students must consult with an advisor either at one of the Polk County School Board Career Centers or at Polk State College. Students should contact the Program Director for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students who score below the required levels on state-mandated placement tests in writing, reading, and mathematics must enroll in and complete the appropriate developmental education courses before they enroll in some required program courses.
Note: This program corresponds with the Florida Department of Education Curriculum Framework for Industrial Management.
