Airport Management Certificate

The Airport Management Certificate is part of the Associate in Science (AS) in Aerospace Administration degree program. This curriculum consists of 18 credits of college-level coursework embedded as part of the AS degree. This abbreviated certificate program readies an individual for a career in airport operation and management. The curriculum prepares the student to take the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Exam in Airfield Operations. 

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs):
Upon successful completion of the program, the student is able to:
PLO 1: Appropriately apply basic aviation terminology and history.
PLO 2: Demonstrate fluency and appropriate application regarding aviation operations, practices, limitations, and procedures.
PLO 3: Demonstrate fluency regarding federal, state, and other governmental laws, rules, and policies as they relate to aviation.
PLO 4: Incorporate airline management practices, including leadership and communications, as well as directing, planning, and controlling operations.
PLO 5: Demonstrate fluency with aviation security issues and responses.
PLO 6: Demonstrate employability skills.
