The Food and Beverage Management Certificate prepares an individual for employment in a supervisory or managerial position within the Hospitality industry, such as a catering and banquet manager, food and beverage manager, restaurant manager, or bar and lounge manager. Credits earned within this program can be applied toward the Associate in Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management degree program.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs):
Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate is able to:
PLO 1: Describe the organizational structure of various operations within the hospitality industry.
PLO 2: Identify and use principles of legal and ethical supervision practices.
PLO 3: Demonstrate the leadership and managerial skills required within a service-oriented industry.
PLO 4: Plan the purchase of food and supplies, and also control associated inventory levels.
PLO 5: Identify risk and safety issues in the hospitality industry.
