Program: 42000

The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Advanced Technical Certificate prepares graduates to enter the workforce in organizations operating within manufacturing, logistics, retail, and service industries. The curriculum provides a balance of theory-based, experiential, and integrative activities that are related to supply chain management.

Through this program, the student develops problem-solving, critical-thinking, and project-management skills that enable holistic integration of strategic and operational aspects of supply chain management. This prepares the individual to perform jobs across multiple supply chain functions such as procurement, planning, and sourcing; project and quality management; legal oversight; analytical and financial assessment; operations planning; and customer relations and service.

Admission Criteria

Admission to this program requires an associate or baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited school or college, and at least a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0-point scale. The student must meet the requirements for college-level mathematics, reading, and writing. Any deficiencies must be satisfied prior to program admission. If the student’s associate degree is from a non-regionally accredited institution, but one that is accredited by a body that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, a course-by-course evaluation is done according to Polk State College’s transfer practices and policies.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs):

PLO 1: Analyze logistics problems and develop effective solutions.
PLO 2: Analyze and develop solutions to inventory management problems, including uncertainty issues and linkage disruptions, to support product availability and a firm’s profitability.
PLO 3: Evaluate cross-functional drivers of a supply chain, including sourcing decisions, pricing, and revenue management.
