ENL 2022 - Survey of British Literature: 19th and 20th Centuries

This survey course acquaints students with the literary history of Great Britain during the 19th and 20th centuries. Through readings, discussions, films, and papers, students study major works and their authors in relation to historical and literary trends. This course specifically examines the 19th century Romantics and Victorians, as well as 20th century works. The student may take this course in sequence with Survey of British Literature: Beginnings to the 18th Century (ENL2010) or individually.
