MAC 1114 - Trigonometry 3 hours Lecture, 3 credit(s) Lower-Division College Credit Prerequisite(s): MAC 1105 or appropriate placement examination score This course is intended for those students whose programs of study require trigonometry, or those who are preparing for higher mathematics. Students with a weak background in algebra may find the work difficult. Topics include properties and graphs of trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions, trigonometric equations and trigonometric identities, solutions of triangles, as well as applications of trigonometry to vectors, complex numbers,and polar coordinates. A graphing calculator (TI-83 or equivalent) is required.
