REL 2300 - World Religions 3 hours Lecture, 3 credit(s) Lower-Division College Credit Prerequisite(s): Appropriate placement examination scores or completion of required college preparatory courses in writing and reading This course introduces the histories, doctrines, and practices of world religions including Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Judaism, as well as African traditional religions and others. This course also surveys the social and scientific study of religion including religious institutions, interfaith dialogue, and the sociology of religion.
