A College-Credit Certificate (CCC) consists of a program of instruction of less than sixty college-level credits that are part of an Associate in Science or Associate in Applied Science degree program. This CCC program prepares the participant for entry-level employment (Florida Administrative Code Rule 6A-14.030).

The Mechatronics Certificate Program provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards, relevant technical knowledge, and the necessary skills to prepare for further education and careers in the manufacturing career cluster. It emphasizes technical-skill proficiency and includes competency-based learning that contributes to academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning, problem-solving skills, general employability, technical adaptability, and occupation-specific skillsets across all aspects of the manufacturing career cluster.

The content includes, but is not limited to, maintenance techniques, computer-aided drafting and design, technical communication, maintenance and operation of various industrial components, quality control and testing, material-handling protocols, and proper usage of tools and instrumentation.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs):
Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate is able to:
PLO 1: Demonstrate fluency with industrial processes and material properties.
PLO 2: Generate and interpret computer-aided drawings.
PLO 3: Apply concepts related to electricity and electronics.
PLO 4: Incorporate industrial safety, health, and environmental requirements.
PLO 5: Demonstrate proficiency in the use of tools, instruments, and testing devices.
PLO 6: Assess and apply basic troubleshooting skills.
PLO 7: Demonstrate appropriate communication skills.
PLO 8: Apply appropriate mathematical skills.
PLO 9: Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical components and systems.
PLO 10: Operate industrial automation systems.
PLO 11: Troubleshoot industrial automation systems.
PLO 12: Apply the principles of robotics to automated systems.
PLO 13: Use human-machine interface applications to efficiently operate automated systems.
