CTS 2321C - Linux System Administration I 3 hours Lecture, 1 hour Lab, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit Prerequisite(s): CTS 2106C AA Elective: No This course emphasizes basic Linux Server administration skills. It provides the information and skills to install and manage Linux servers in small and medium-sized networks. In this course, students study how to update and monitor a Linux server; perform administrative tasks; manage users and groups; provide basic system security; manage the Linux file system; manage software installation; manage system initialization, system processes, and services; connect the server to the network; and provide basic network services such as printing, web access, and remote access.
