CJK 0285 - Legal II 22 Contact hours Vocational Credit Prerequisites: Permission of the Program Director This course provides a more in-depth study of law beginning with an overview of the U.S. Constitution and exploring evidence concepts and rules as well as the concepts of probable cause and search and seizure. Students will comprehend the Florida laws of arrest and how they influence law enforcement. A study of involuntary admission procedures, substance abuse services, and the Baker Act is performed. Additionally, students will define and learn the elements that compose various laws relating to the corrections profession.
