CJK 0229 - Crime Scene Procedures 27 Contact hours Vocational Credit Prerequisite(s): Permission of the Program Director This course studies the techniques, methods, and considerations for patrol officers when investigating crimes such as domestic violence, child abuse, and abuse of the elderly or disabled. Procedures applied for missing, endangered, lost, or runaway persons are covered, and proper search techniques are also discussed. This course develops techniques involved in initial observation methods, through processing of the crime scene, case preparation, and court testifying. Objectives include those established by the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.
