MKA 2041 - Principles of Retailing 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit Prerequisite(s): Requires placement at the college level or satisfaction of developmental education requirements in reading and writing. AA Elective: Yes This course provides an analysis of the development, present status, and trends of retailing. The course focuses on the major functions of retailing including store organization, policies, planning, personnel, layout, buying, merchandising, pricing, promotion, and control, as well as the special challenges associated with the field of retailing.
