ETS 1542C - Introduction to Programmable Logic Controllers 2 hours Lecture, 2 hours Lab, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit Prerequisite(s): ETS 1511C and completion of Engineering Technology core requirements; or permission of the Program Director AA Elective: No This course introduces students to memory-addressing schemes, sequencers, jumps, forcing, analog, latches, timers, counters, data manipulation, and arithmetic operations to operational programs related to the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) hardware of an Allen-Bradley SLC-500, and 5000 series. Hands-on labs use the Allen Bradley SLC-500 and 5000 series controllers. Sensor interfacing and basic troubleshooting are included.
