ETI 1414C - Introduction to CNC Machining

This course provides students with a thorough understanding of CNC operations. Beginning with fundamental safety protocols, mechanical drawings, CNC machine construction, tooling selection, machine setup, CNC programming commands, linear motion control, hole drilling operations, and machine center setup. The course focuses on advanced topics including writing, interpreting, and editing CNC programs, computing cutter offsets, and programming circular interpolation commands. Through a blend of laboratory exercises and online learning modules, students will gain the skills necessary to confidently operate CNC turning and machining centers while adhering to industry-standard procedures.
