Evidence-based practice (EBP) is derived from quantitative and qualitative research traditions. It enables an individual to select and discern information for patient and client management, practice management, and health policy decision-making. Reflective care practices enable the individual to incorporate science while bridging patient preferences and needs. The use of scientific concepts, practices, and applications within the clinical setting are examined.
