CNC 0026 - CNC Production Technician 1 300 Contact hours Prerequisite(s): None Corequisite(s): None This course prepares students for entry into the CNC machining industry. Students explore career opportunities and requirements of a CNC production specialist. Content emphasizes beginning skills key to the success of working in the CNC machining industry. Students study workplace safety and organization, job-related mathematics, basic blueprint information, metrology, the history of manufacturing and primary and secondary manufacturing processes, geometric dimension, and tolerance, set up and operation of drill presses, CNC control panels, CNC machine systems, CNC lathe and mill operations, and maintenance and troubleshooting.
