Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations are taken prior to enrolling in college and are administered in high school following the completion of high school Advanced Placement classes.
CLEP Exams are administered at the Winter Haven Campus Testing Center in the Teaching/Learning and Computing Center (TLCC). A student may take a CLEP Exam while in high school or after admission to the College. Once a college course is attempted, the CLEP score for that subject is no longer accepted. The student may contact the Winter Haven Testing Center to register for an appointment (863.292.3674).
Excelsior College Examinations are administered at the Florida Southern College Testing Center, 142 Ordway Building, Lakeland, FL. The student should contact the Testing Center at Florida Southern College by phone (863.680.4299) for registration materials or more information. The Florida Department of Education website provides exam names, minimum scores required for credit, and equivalent Polk State College courses.
