This advanced course provides a study of the aeronautical skills and abilities required for the Certified Flight Instructor Airplane Certificate. As a higher-level course, it offers training beyond the scope of the lower-level alternate course. Students must choose whether to take the lower-level or upper-level version of this course. Advanced simulation training techniques, curriculum development and monitoring, as well as job shadowing and mentorship are integral parts of this course of study. The student must complete the appropriate flight lessons and pass the Federal Aviation Administration’s Flight Instructor Airplane Single Engine Practical Exam to satisfactorily complete the course.
