EUH 2032 - The Holocaust and Its Legacy 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit AA Elective: Yes This course surveys the history of the Holocaust and provides a study of its lasting legacy. The course begins with the earliest days of National Socialism and covers the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich. The contribution of prevalent Anti-Semitism and other forms of racism against Eastern Europeans is explored, including manifestations of racism, such as the Nuremberg Laws and the creation of forced labor and death camps. The course concludes by exploring the Nuremberg Trials and the enduring lessons that the Holocaust provides for humanity.
