SCE 3310 - Elementary Science: Grades K-6 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Upper-Division College Credit Prerequisite(s): Admission to BS in Elementary Education Program AA Elective: No This course provides content knowledge related to instruction in the area of Elementary Science. Course topics include: Science as Inquiry, Physical Science, Life Science, Earth and Space Science, Science and Technology, Environmental Science, and the History and Nature of Science. The Next Generation Science Standards provide the focal point of the materials provided. Assessment probes are used as a way to assess student understanding of the content. Extensive reading in the content area is expected. This course is a Florida (2010) ESOL Endorsement competency-infused class.
