RMI 2001 - Fundamentals of Risk Management and Insurance 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit Prerequisite(s) or Corequisite(s): Requires placement at the college level or satisfaction of developmental education requirements in reading and writing. AA Elective: Yes This course examines the fundamentals of risk management for both individuals and businesses. The curriculum provides a survey of the general legal terms used in the industry, and the products and applications incorporated in this field of expertise. Students gain the skills necessary to classify and manage risk appropriately while identifying the ethical and fiduciary responsibilities each party inherits.
