ATT 2110 - Commercial Pilot Ground 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit AA Elective: No This course prepares the student for commercial pilot training and the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Commercial Pilot Airplane Knowledge Test. This course provides insight into advanced aircraft systems such as turbocharging engines, high-performance engines, retractable landing gear, and environmental systems. Weight and balance of larger aircraft, advanced performance charts, and procedures to maximize aircraft performance are also discussed. The curriculum covers regulations of interest to the commercial pilot. A student who completes the course satisfactorily may earn the required endorsement to take the FAA Commercial Pilot Airplane Knowledge Test. This course requires a minimum of 35 hours of ground training. Each student is required to be enrolled in (or have completed) this course prior to beginning Commercial Pilot Flight (ATF 2210L ).
