AVM 2132 - Aircraft Dispatcher: Practical 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit Prerequisite(s): AVM 2134 AA Elective: No This course provides a study of the aeronautical skills and abilities required to obtain a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate. The student applies information regarding regulations, safety, flight operations, navigation systems, chart usage, weather conditions, and flight planning to the role of an aircraft dispatcher. The student must complete the appropriate training to be eligible for the FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Practical Exam. Training fees (in addition to the cost of tuition) are required and must be paid in advance of the course start date. Training fees are based on the required minimum hours of instruction approved by the FAA for this course. Any additional training required beyond the FAA minimum is the financial responsibility of the student. Note: The student must complete AVM 2131 Aircraft Dispatcher - Theory and pass the FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Knowledge Test prior to beginning this course.
