The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Supervision and Management Program provides individuals who have an associate’s degree or the equivalent the opportunity to further their education and advance in their chosen professions. Students build upon the foundational skills attained through their associate degree programs by completing upper-division coursework in management and leadership practices. Upper-level coursework in the BAS Program provides students with the opportunity to engage in a concentrated area of study and develop a theoretical and practical understanding of organizational management.
The Healthcare Administration concentration of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management degree program prepares students to enter the workforce as medical and health services managers. In these professions, graduates are responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising the delivery of healthcare. As healthcare administrators, they may be specialists managing specific clinical departments, or generalists managing a facility or system. Their work as managers involves a complex array of factors impacting today’s healthcare environment including technology, regulations, accreditation, innovation in treatment and delivery, system finance aspects, and insurance reimbursement.
