The Network Systems Technology (Network Server Administration) degree program prepares students for careers as network administrators, network engineers, and network specialists. This program provides a study of the skills necessary to plan, design, implement, and administer Linux and Windows servers in a network environment, including storage processes required for a classic, virtualized, and cloud-based data centers. Courses within the program prepare students for industry certification exams offered by Cisco (CCENT), CompTIA (A+), EMC (EMCPA in storage and cloud infrastructure), Linux LPI (LPIC-1), and Microsoft (MCSA Windows Server 2012). As an active member of the networking community, Polk State College is an authorized Cisco Networking Academy, Microsoft IT Academy, CompTIA Authorized Academy, VMware IT Academy, and a member of the EMC Academic Alliance.

Certain courses in this program require placement at the college level or satisfaction of developmental education requirements in reading, writing, and mathematics.
