ASC 1610 - Aircraft Systems and Components 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit AA Elective: No This course provides a study of small aircraft systems and components from a technical and operational point of view. Malfunctions and troubleshooting of the systems are explained. The basic structure and operation of flight controls, power plants, ignition systems, electrical systems, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, landing gear, ice detection and protection mechanisms, avionics, and other components are discussed. Part-task training devices and Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTDs) are used to teach the operation of avionics and other components.
