This course focuses on observing, identifying, and effectively supervising diverse special-population inmates within a correctional setting. Students review techniques for maintaining officer safety and a high level of professionalism when supervising special-population inmates, as well as ways to maintain care, custody, and control of special-population inmates within a correctional setting. Objectives include those established by the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.
