ATF 3502L - Certified Flight Instructor Airplane 1 hour Lab, 1 credit Upper-Division College Credit Prerequisite(s): ATT 2130 or ATT3134; and FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating AA Elective: No This course provides a study of the aeronautical skills and abilities required for the Certified Flight Instructor Airplane Certificate. The student applies skills from prior classes to explain, demonstrate, and analyze flight maneuvers and resource-management skills involved with Private Pilot, Commercial Pilot, and Flight Instructor Certificates. The course also provides practical flight instruction experiences. The student must complete the appropriate flight lessons and pass the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Flight Instructor - Airplane Single-Engine Practical Exam to satisfactorily complete the course. Flight training fees (in addition to the cost of tuition) are required and must be paid in advance of the course start date. Flight training fees for this course are based on 25 hours of flight training and six hours of ground training and preflight/postflight briefings. Any additional training required beyond the FAA minimum is the financial responsibility of the student.
