ATF 2305L - Instrument Pilot Flight 1 hours Lab, 1 credit Lower-Division College Credit Prerequisite(s) or Corequisite(s): ATT 2120, Permission of Instructor, and Private Pilot Certificate AA Elective: No This course provides a study of the aeronautical skills and abilities required for the addition of an Instrument Airplane rating to a Private Pilot Certificate. The student applies information regarding instrument flying regulations, safety, operations, navigation systems, chart use, weather conditions, flight planning, aeronautical decision making, and resource management. The student must complete the appropriate flight lessons and pass the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Instrument Rating Practical Exam to satisfactorily complete the course. Flight training fees (in addition to the cost of tuition) are required and must be paid in advance of the course start date. Flight training fees for this course are based on 37.7 hours of flight training and nine hours of ground training and preflight/postflight briefings. Any additional training required beyond the FAA minimum is the financial responsibility of the student.
