CIS 1950C - Capstone Experience: Computer Systems and Business Analysis


2 hours Lecture, 1 hour Lab, 3 credits
Lower-Division College Credit
Prerequisite(s): Permission of the Program Director is required for enrollment. Permission is contingent upon successful completion of all required program core courses [CGS 1100, CTS 1102, COP 1000, COP 1170, CTS 1441, CTS 2442, CTS 2433, CIS 2321, CEN 2071, CTS 2450, ENC 2210, GEB 1011, ACG 2072, and COP 2224 or COP 2800] and all required General Education courses.
AA Elective: No
This course provides an opportunity to prepare and complete a professional project and analyze business situations. The student practices the use of file-management systems, hardware and software installation processes, and various system-maintenance and utility operations. The participant designs, develops, and writes computer programs using skills acquired in core and program-concentration courses under the direction of the professor. Successful completion of the course requires demonstration of achievement of the program’s learning outcomes. This course requires in-person lab sessions and must be completed in the last term before graduation.  

Note: A grade of C or better is required to pass this course.
