Program: 68084
The Guest Services Certificate prepares an individual for employment as a guest services representative, guest services specialist, concierge, front office representative, or front office lead. The curriculum can also provide supplemental training for a person who has been or is currently employed in one of these occupations. Credits earned within this program can be applied toward the Associate in Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management degree program.
Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs):
Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate is able to:
PLO 1: Describe the various operations and procedures within the hotel and resort sector of the hospitality industry.
PLO 2: Explain how effective communication skills are important to success as a hospitality supervisor and describe personal characteristics that affect communication skills.
PLO 3: Demonstrate the leadership and managerial skills required within a service-oriented industry.
PLO 5: Demonstrate effective use of information technology skills.
