ETS 1535 - Automated Process Control 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit Prerequisites: EST 1542 or permission of the Program Director AA Elective: No This course includes instruction in Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) Loop No Restriction of development and tuning, RSLOGIX 5000, Fuzzy Logic 12 design and development, ladder logic programming and troubleshooting, and Data Highway and Ethernet applications. Students work with trainers and software simulations to study the concepts of Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controllers in the classroom, and then use extensive hands-on lab work for practice. Foundations in ladder logic, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and automation are reinforced, with specific training in RSLogix, Rockwell Fieldbus, Data Highway, and Ethernet networking applications for process control systems.
