HSA 3160 - Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Upper-Division College Credit Prerequisites: HSA 3110 AA Elective: Yes This course provides an examination of the role and function of marketing and public relations in healthcare organizations. Marketing concepts including market research, segmentation, branding, and advertising are reviewed. The fundamentals of public relations are considered, including defining, writing and presenting information for healthcare organizations, as well as marketing to the public. The course focuses on processes within the healthcare system from an administrative perspective.
