SYG 2000 - Introduction to Sociology 3 hours Lecture, 3 credits Lower-Division College Credit AA Elective: Yes This introductory course provides a broad survey of the field of sociology. It includes the methods employed by sociologists in collecting and analyzing social data, and it provides background information on topics including socialization, group behavior, cultural analysis, subculture relations, social processes, stratification, social institutions, cultural change, and social deviance.
This course is also offered in Honors format. For Honors Program sections, Honors Program permission is required.
